Red Gasket Seal Kit for Boro Style Tank

Not sure if it's me doing something wrong with this as my first boro, the seal gets stretched and can't make a good seal when sliding the glass back on

I bought a seal kit for the sxk Boro tank, and when I got them the seal had a tare in it so it would not work,I thought for the price I paid there was no point in complaining
