Naturevape are proud to offer the Piloto Cubano Extract from La Tabaccheria. After the 1959 Revolution in Cuba, some farmers moved to the Dominican Republic, bringing along some “Tabaco Negro Cubano” seeds together with its cultivation and cure techniques; this species is divided into 2 main families: Criollo and Corojo. Piloto Cubano is named after its city of origin in Cuba, Pilotos in the Pinar del Rio Region and it began to spread across the Dominican Republic in 1960. Piloto Cubano is part of the “dark-air-cured” class, it is subjected to a fermentation process which gives its leaves a very dark colour and strong aromatic scents. The Piloto Cubano we selected is a Sun-Grown-Filler, namely a tobacco grown in the sun and used as a filler in the manufacturing of cigars. The peculiarity of this tobacco is that, in spite of its intensity and body if smoked in the traditional way, is soft and enveloping if vaped; excellent for the lovers of Cuban cigars.

La Tabaccheria recommend a blend of between 5% and 10% Extract combined to make a 50/50 PG/VG mix depending on your individual taste, I can tell you that I have tried both ends of the scale and I believe a 7% mix is a very good starting point as these flavours are incredibly strong.
